IT IS OUR TIME NOW….it is our time now to recreate our relationships with the sentient lives with whom we share our planet Earth. As our carnivores are recovering or expanding their range, our generation has the exciting opportunity to find ways of sharing the land and the sea with them.
I’m wanting to share this excellent short film with you regarding the return of the Great White Sharks to the ocean around Cape Cod Seashore. Why are they returning…? Their prey, the Grey Seals have returned. After decades of slaughter, the Grey Seals were finally protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Act…and their numbers have recovered.
This film shows how educating of the public in coexisting skills with these great predators of the ocean allows the people to safely share this recreation area that is ALSO the shark’s natural habitat and home.
COYOTE ~ It the same for our Native Wild Dog. They have expanded their range on their native continent. And just like the people who spend time on Cape Cod, learning coexistence skills enables us to share the land with our Coyotes…and be the richer for it.
